PM Modi on the Supreme Court’s Remarks Regarding Plea

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Saturday that the Supreme Court gave political parties that complained about the arbitrary use of government investigation agencies against opposition politicians a “jolt” by dismissing their case.

The lack of collaboration from the state administration is causing a delay in the completion of various central projects in Telangana, according to Modi, who spoke in front of the public after breaking ground and launching several development projects.

Vande Bharat Train

K Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana’s chief minister, missed the Vande Bharat train’s inauguration between Secunderabad and Tirupati and Modi’s event honoring the nation and laying the cornerstone for several Telangana development projects. Rao has avoided Modi’s activities throughout his travels to the state for more than a year now.

“A few days ago, some political parties petitioned the court for protection so that no one would look into their corrupt party’s records. They went to court, but the judge surprised them,” Modi stated without mentioning any specific individuals.

  • There is a delay in the completion of various central projects in Telangana.
  • Telangana’s chief minister, missed the Vande Bharat train’s inauguration.
  • Modi also laid the cornerstone for several projects totaling more than Rs 11,300 crore at Hyderabad’s Parade Ground

A petition citing an alarming increase in the use of coercive criminal proceedings against opposition political leaders and other persons expressing their constitutional right to dissent was recently submitted at the supreme court by as many as 14 political parties led by the Congress.

However, the Supreme Court pointed out that politicians do not enjoy “higher immunity” and rejected the argument. A bench consisting of Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and Justice J B Pardiwala refused to consider the plea on April 5, stating that courts are always available to address the grievances of political leaders in the same way that they do of regular citizens.

Corrupt practices start to spread wherever there is a “parivarvaad,” according to Modi, who claimed that dynasty and corruption are not distinct from one another.

In addition, Modi unveiled several significant rail development initiatives in Telangana, including the doubling and electrification of the Secunderabad-Mahabubnagar segment and the laying of the foundation stone for the station’s reconstruction for Rs 720 crore.

A total of 13 new multi-modal transport system (MMTS) train services were also inaugurated by him in the suburbs of the Telangana state capital. At Parade Ground in Hyderabad, Modi also laid the cornerstone for several projects totaling more than Rs 11,300 crore and dedicated them to the nation. The projects include laying the cornerstone for the AIIMS-Bibinagar in Hyderabad and five projects for National Highways.
