Here is How the Exciting Song Contest Works When it is Time for Eurovision

With 161 million viewers last year, the Eurovision Song Contest is one of the most viewed events in the world. Expect lively melodies, creative costumes, and Ukrainian tributes.

37 nations sent acts to Eurovision this year that were chosen through external or national competitions. The competition is being held on behalf of the winner in 2022, Ukraine, by the UK.

Six nations are automatically qualified for the final; the remaining nations must compete in the semi-final when 20 acts are selected through popular voting. On Saturday, the championship game will be held in the Liverpool Arena.

Geography is only one aspect of Eurovision. Australia is a great fan of Eurovision and was granted entry to the contest in 2015. Israel and Azerbaijan are other participants that come from outside the borders of Europe.

With Tattoo by Loreen, Cha Cha Cha by Käärijä, Évidemment by La Zarra, and Mama! by Let 3 as the top favorites, Loreen, Käärijä, La Zarra, and Let 3 are all highly respected in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Each performer will perform live and adhere to a three-minute time constraint during the Eurovision final, which will be hosted by Graham Norton, Ted Lasso, Hannah Waddingham, Alesha Dixon, and Julia Sanina. The conflict will have a somber undertone because of the Russian war in Ukraine.

The Eurovision song contest is broadcast on the Eurovision YouTube channel as well as by national broadcasters that are members of the EBU, such as the BBC in the UK. It is broadcast on NBC’s Peacock streaming service in the US.
